American Moroccan International Exchange is a public, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting international understanding through cross-cultural educational programs.
Established in 2004 by Iman Belali (then 12 years old), AMIE’s goals are to:
- Provide Moroccan and American teen-aged girls with opportunities to meet and experience each other's culture, planting the seeds for a lifetime of international understanding and peace.
- Encourage and inspire girls to pursue studies and careers in science, technology, mathematics and engineering; courses that many still shy away from but are important for their success.
Each year, we expand our American-Moroccan international exchange programs to reach more teens and to help close the gap between two very different cultures. To learn more about us and how to get involved, visit:
