Sister Cities Concert June 9th: Issaquah’s Sister Cities Commission (ISCC) – in partnership with the nonprofit American Moroccan International Exchange – will host its second rock concert from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday June 9 to celebrate its strong international relationships with the cities of Chefchaouen, Morocco and Sunndal, Norway.

The concert, which will feature the bands Astro Cats, O'Dark:30 and Kalimba, will be held at the Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S. Tickets are $10 each, and can be purchased ahead of time at Issaquah City Hall, 130 East Sunset Way, or calling 425-837-3000.

Proceeds will directly support ISCC’s mission to maintain existing international partnerships and establish new ones – both of which are important for the expansion of cultural and traditional values. So far, these relationships have been established through a variety of methods, including student and artist exchanges.

The event is also receiving support from local Issaquah businesses and sponsors, including Zeeks Pizza and Ben & Jerry’s.
